My Alphabet Photography

Here I have produced a collage comprised of the 26 images I have taken of objects which to me, looked like the alphabet.

As you can see this task is entirely subjective, and these are objects I have found around my house and workplace which to me looked like letters of the Alphabet.
I enjoyed doing this task because it meant I had to keep an eye out and have a creative view over my surroundings. Some of these compositions were harder to find than others, for example the letter U was a simple horseshoe, but for the letter K I had to look very hard before eventually finding a pair of sunglasses on the counter which to me, looked like the letter K.
I had to crop the majority of my photos so the viewer could focus on the subject I wanted them to focus on, however I made sure that when I cropped, one could still see what the object was, which made my collage more intriguing.

Here is the black and white version of my image. I personally prefer the coloured version, although that is entirely subjective. I feel it's easier to make out what each object is in the coloured version, but I feel it's less obvious in the Black and White version; but maybe that's a good thing.

Here is an example of how I have edited my images:

Letter S, unedited.
As you can see, the letter S is actually a hook which holds up a flower pot. The S is backwards, and although it's in the centre of the image, the surroundings are quite distracting, you can see a dirty window, the spider web hanging from the rusty bracket.
I had to flip my image in GIMP, and crop it in Picasa. This allowed the letter to be the correct way round and to be the main focus of the image to be the letter S.
